Drive select suspension worn out ?

Having had my S4 now for 2500 miles and 2 1/2 months, have started noticing the suspension getting quite crashy in the hot weather, the car has almost 40k on it and 3.5 yrs old.
As the shocks are not magnetic ride and are based on a valved fluid system within the shock that changes with the drive select selection, am starting to think that these might be wearing out. But how do I prove it, does anybody know any suspension guru's in the south at all.
Infact is there anybody in the south with drive select on their S4 so I could compare, I do have VCDS if you need a scan.
