I've Defected - S4 Collection Next Week

Post by R1NGA » Fri Dec 23, 2011 7:08 pm

Folks,

Just a quick intro post following my defection from the Dark Side of the RS6 contingent. I had nearly 5 years of pleasure from my C5 RS6+, but a need for something more weildy dynamically, more economic when it needs to be and generally more modern brought me to the new S4. I have to say I love the drives I've had in various demo cars and I have now secured what I hope to be a really rewarding drivers car that brings a proper smile to my face. I will miss the RS6 and its Milennium Falcon performance, but it's gone to a very good home and someone who I'm sure will take care of it.

However, here's what I've bought;

It's a Jul-2011 car with just a few thousand miles on it and with every conceivable option other than Advanced Key - Full Drive Select, Manual box, Super Sports Seats, Tech Pack High/HDD Nav, Voice, Phone High, Adaptive Lights, Sports Diff, heated everything, B&O, 19" 20-spoke alloys, carbon inlays, black pack, HHold Assist and even a towbar. Inchcape are offering some blinding deals to get cars off the floor before the end of the year and this was offered at massive discount, so I snapped it up.

I had a set of Movit Ceramics on the RS6 and these have been removed with the intention of fitting them to the S4. The bells will need modifying to accept the bigger hub size of the S4 and the caliper mounts will undoubtedly be different, but I'm assured they can be made to fit. Should finish off what I hope will be a great drivers car that hopefully still does business comfy.

Looking forwrd to it!

Phil

I had a black one 6 months ago, and got a Monsoon grey one just landed in the UK

manual gearbox :bash:

S-Tronic FTW !!

nah tbf, I had a manual on my first, but S-Tronic next

I just think these beasts are so much faster when you dont have to change gear

Mods planned?

Nice motor Phil. The C5 does seem quite dated when you get into something new.
