That is remarkable! Dave, how does it handle compared to the B6 S4s you've had? Maybe the sport rear diff and 19s like most of the B8 S4s have would sharpen things up a little. 18s would help economy though compared to 19s. Does it have Audi Drive Select as standard?

Ok I'm going to blitz your 'range' record
330 miles done on this tank, 45 left on the range and my journey home from work later will be 45miles
@IanC, I IMO the B6 handles way better out of the box, sounds better too. Mines is bog standard thou in terms of performance options, so I dare say it could be improved via ADS etc but then your talking about a very expensive car!

In my opinion and done 3,700 miles now ... it does not handle well
it understeer's mahooosively, so you pile aload of speed into a corner expecting it to grip, but instead you get a fat load of body roll and it just runs wide. The handling is really numb with no feel through the wheel at all
now these two huge gripes could be cured with Adaptivity of the suspensions and steering, then it would be a great car
now ... onto the MPG challenge
I tried to beat my own World Record and Hody's range record in one swoop .... I got close on one, but did beat the Range record....
So just to prove the 41mpg wasnt a fluke, exact same journey, this time 10mins quicker !!
