I must be temperature related - now the spring is here mine don't squeak. I bought in October 2010 so only driven it in the cold.

the best cure for squeeky brakes is go and give them some abuse city driving stop start ect creates a film on the disk find a quite stretch of road and do a least 4-5 runs of braking from 70 to 10 MPH then run the car for about 5-10 min with out usinghte brakes if possible alowing them to cool this should remove the squeek

audi has acknowledged it and issued a brake upgrade kit{disks, pads ,callipers, bolts} had mine done 6 weeks ago.i read about it on audizine and contacted my dealer who said there is a kit listed for my 2010 s4 and ordered it . over the last 16 months I've also had replaced on TSB the water pump, thermostat, rear light seals after i had read about them on audizine and contacted the dealer myself.

yes the old brakes would snatch at slow speeds you could never brake smoothly as well as them screeching whilst coming to a stop, the car feels totally different now .

hi,i read about it on another forum my dealer did not know about it until they entered my chassis number into their system and then it came up as brake upgrade kit. this is where i got the info from.
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthrea ... who-has-it. The same thing happened for the water pump and thermostat, they are saying they know nothing about it probably because you are the first and they haven't done one yet,let me know how you get on.

been on the phone again to Glasgow audi, they wouldn't take the TSB number, refused any work, guess I'm not getting any new brakes from audi then !!
going from past experience from Glasgow audi they aren't really much help when you have a problem with the car at one point they gave me my car back i wouldnt go over 25mph due to a mis-fire that Glasgow audi couldn't detect (they had the car for 3 weeks) i didn't make it of the forecourt ! had to call the General Manager of lomond audi to get him to see the state of the car he was very apologetic and authorised replacement of all 6 coil packs, the cars been fine since.
