Just had my test drive in a S4 and was quite impressed, must admit through the supercharger seems quite could do with sounding a little more raw.
Anyhow does anyone know if there's much discount to be had on a new S4.

4% seems to be the norm from the different enquiries I've made.
Had a test drive the other day too - beautiful to drive, far more composed over eratic surfaces than my B6 and the S-tronic is superb. Agree the engine noise is a little weak but not awful by any means. Also noticed it ran out of puff earlier than the V8 (there's graphs somewhere on here or another forum showing just that, the power levelling off on the V6 rather than that continuous rise to the redline on the V8). Interior is top notch. Still can't 100% convince myself on the barge-like look side-on though, 19" wheels help but it's still not as squat as the B6/7

4% Thanks Pete, must admit 19" wheels are a must and not to much of an expensive option. Love the cabin but don't know what colour to go for white or black....If i go for black then i will have the black styling package, factor the cost of the pearl paint than that's near on a grand as opposed to going for white....

I like the S4 standard 18" wheels. I've got 19" on my Avant 2.0T but had they been the S4 wheels I'd have kept them as 18s.

Personally I'm not that keen on the B8 shape.
Looks like an Audi BMW cross breed, maybe it will look better with time but I doubt it, the interior is another shocker IMHO and a hand brake only suitable for an automatic. It should have a Honda badge on it. where have they gone wrong?
They would need to discount much more than 4% to even make it onto my consideration list.

Yes the 18s are v nice, but the 19s help to beef it up a little, which it needs IMO because of the longer side profile. Spacers would improve the look even more.

Update...Had a call the other day regarding an S4 in white booking in at £43400 told i could have it for the sum of £40000. However tempting it is , I'm waiting until the spring of next year so i will take my chances on bagging one .....maybe second hand for about £38k...
Dealer was saying with the VAT and initial Audi price increase beginning of next year gent in now but personally i feel there will be deals to be had come the time i want one .....

What about the RS4 vsS4 debate...why is the word RS4 taboo around these parts.....
