Been quoted £480 to replace rear discs and pads at dealer
Been quoted £289 at independent to fit Brembo pads and discs

Parts cost approx £200

Question. - what make pads and discs do you all recommend ?

It is your decision what to put. Just fyi - the aftermarket and genuine parts are manufactured in the same factory. However the genuine parts go through rigorous testing and the other ones go through much less.

Dunno how it is where you live, but the dealer parts usually have 2 years warranty which is not always true for aftermarket.

Brembo is a reputable and good supplier, I'd avoid ATE pads cause i have had problems with them.
