Brake Upgrade Options

I find the standard brakes on the my S4 poor at best.

I've been looking at various options and typically people go for the RS4/RS5 B8 setup. However they are hard to come by and are relatively expensive.

I notice that lots of guys with earlier A4 models (B5/6/7) run the Audi Q7 18z Brembo 6 pot calliper with a variety of discs (typically the 350mm Mercedes ML versions), but I can't find anyone who's gone down this route on the B8.

I bought a Bentley setup as, from what I can find, it's a directly bolt on replacement. However they won't go inside my stock 19" wheels and I really don't want to go down the route of running bigger wheels just to get these brakes inside them. Which is a shame as they'd look pretty awesome on my car!

Any info would be most appreciated.

The Q5 setup seems popular and is a direct bolt on you can use the s4 discs too I believe. It's 4 pot but it's 3 better than ours an the Q5 is as heavy as the s4.

I've seen that one or two guys are fitting them but I'd have thought your only option will be standard pads as I doubt there will be performance versions available? They seem to be reasonable money, even buying new.

Where as due to the popularity of the 18z calliper there are quite a few pad options. I'm just curious as to why nobody with a B8 has gone down that route.

I'm happy to be the first, just wondering if anyone else has tried before.
