Well I have an oppurtunity to get some RS7 front and rears OR some new AP Racing 390mm brakes which are more
expensive than the RS kit, what's the best?

I'd need pictures to be able to decide? Are they both 8 pot?

Yes they are, will try and find some, RS7 seem a better deal as front and rear

yes, in a matter of speaking the RS7s will need a small 2mm spacer to ensure centering the disc, AP straight on

I have the AP Radical 8 pots with the 390mm discs, over the standard they are awesome,. not driven it that hard as yet but the brake upgrade certainly brings confidence in stopping under any conditions, The pedal is a little softer than I would like, but I am hoping with a little more use that will change,,,

I have a set of 396x40 Movit Ceramics, with billet 6-pots and mounting kit for a B8 S4 available, if you're interested. Drop me a PM if you need more info. I posted on here last year about the bits I was taking off my car when I sold it, so a search should give you more info as well. Awesome brakes that never, ever stop stopping, even somewhere hard on brakes like Bedford GT circuit.

Well my mind is made up RS7 390mm discs, seem to get very good reports and at a more
reasonable price

Good shout Rob, I'm looking at stepping up to that setup too. Be interested to hear (and see) how you get on.
I hear they need a 4mm spacer to achieve the correct offset, is that right?
