Remapping high milage

Post by Oiler » Sat Jan 02, 2016 1:13 pm

Hi
Looking to buy something, with the intention to modify to around 500hp if possible.
Would be doing no more than 5k a year.
Seen several high mileage (100k) cars for sensible money, would there be anything to look out for at this mileage?
Has any one any experience of remaps/modifying on higher mileage cars?
Thanks for any advice

I have an S4 Avant that's now done 123456 miles

I had it remapped with a Revo remap stage 1 at 80k and have had no issues whatsoever with it. The only thing that could do with being done to it is the clutch, as it slips when you try and launch it off the line, but have never had any issues with it in the higher gears. hope this eases your mind [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Ok thanks, that's good to know.
Been looking at paddle shift DSG, guess there may be more to go wrong?
