^ can't beat first hand experience!

I suspect the clutch in my S4 told the dealer when I dropped it today, the farther I drove, even with the pedal to the floor I was having to force it into gear (mostly on a downshift) rather than a nice silky change as I'd expect. Pumping had no effect either way.

Odd!

And bring your biggest scariest mates - or if that fails, hire Bam and abuse him before hand.

Oh I won't need violence or anything similar, the place is littered with cash going by their prestige showroom, hopefully they will just take the hit.

If not I'll just pop by once a week when their busy and keep asking loudly.

I'm sure it will be fine. Could be a lot of things, gut says clutch though..

Then after hearing a v8 S5 today I'm like,yeah RS4 all day long.That noise :rocker:
Ive had B7 Rs4 and currently have a B8 S4 and a B8 RS4

If you can afford the B8 RS4 and arent a "manual" nut, do it. It is the complete car imo

As the B7 and B8 S4 are similar money if you want a special occasion motor, get the B7 but if you want a daily, the B8 is plenty quick, has massive tuning potential and is just a better... newer... Overall package than the B7

Imo and I may be alone, but that is my honest opinion
Cheers,it will be a daily driver so 30 mile a day.Thats a worry I have,my current car is a Leon cupra R 2011 so more comparable with a B8 than a B7.
Will test both and go from there

I've got a Leon too and it's more roomy in the back. It's also lifeless and drab. Drive them all and you'll be naturally drawn to one more than the others. If the family don't fit, get them a taxi and meet them there, via the back roads.

Cupra is 2WD with no diff etc? Driving wise totally different. I used to drive a lot of new ones at a dealership I worked at on and off ...fairly fast!

I'm no mech so have no idea what's wrong but I am not small and have driven a few quick cars and a gearbox getting so hard to downshift at roundabouts etc, even going into first and up-shifting sometimes. It's just never happened to me before except when I had a cable stuck in the gearbox selector rods on an older car. No slipping or crunching...odd?

Electronic diff and Audi S3/Golf R engine so not too shabby at 265bhp.

Last one I drove was probably a new 12 plate, actually it was the the Deisel one, I nearly put it into a tree I remember! The electrical diff i s jus a rehash of the Audi EDL system iirc? The audi's is mechanical not as snatchy s a quaiffe/similar in a FWD a it's just point and squirt.

Slight win.... it's going on a low loader to Audi for work, nae messing! :biggrin3:

p.s. Your engine EA888?

Yeah mines the cupra R:

Yeah have tried a lot of performance cars that are fwd(focus RS,Megane 250 etc),Megane RS was the best to drive by far.
As for LSD the only way is a plated LSD like in my rally car but not really the best for day to day use
