As per the post title Have of you removed silencers from standard exhaust?

I'm looking for a little more noise without loosing the oem look.

I heard some people in France removed the front silencer and it makes a great sound after, no drone and oem look.

A few people on here (and SRS) have removed the front silencer 'suitcase' box and replaced it with a straight through X pipe. Its a great value mod that gives you probably just as much 'voice' as a £1500 cat back resonated Milltek whilst maintaining the OEM look. Magnaflow seem to be the best.

What is the best option : x-pipe or normal pipe to replace front silencers ?

I'm sure you could have two completely separate pipes in parallel if you wished.

In fact there are 2 possible options:

1. Remove the 2 Donwpipe Resonator and replace them by normal tubes
2. Remove the Central Resonator and replace it by x-pipe resonated like this one: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/disp ... mber=11385

Or remove both the down pipe and centre resonators? Or will that make it too loud?

Hi. I’m new in here. I have an Rs4 B8.5 and I’ve already done the middle resonator delete and had an X pipe fabricated to replace it.

I’m now considering removing the front resonators and having a H pipe configuration out there instead to make it louder but also hopefully make it drone free.

Has anyone else done this or know if this would work?
