Audi servie V Indy

Post by pmj » Fri Jan 02, 2015 12:51 pm

Hi all, happy new year, I am due a service and as the car has just clocked over 74k I was looking at the major service, I got a quote from Audi (Sytner Reading) of £416 for this , to include all filtes / plugs and oil, I also got a quote for the same from and independent for the same service of £587, trying to get confirmation from both of what the service actually entails is difficult as the Audi service team tell me they will only change plus if needed but if they do its in the price so I would insist they are changed, but my questions is, why is there such a price difference, what are the items that should be changed at a major service...?

The Audi quote seems good, have you asked about the £399 service plan? That's what I went for, as I was getting quoted more by good independents so it was a no brainer.

Is the Audi stamp in the service book worth more than the Indy, also forgot to mention the car is a stage 2 tuned car

Won't apply - only for cars 3 - 6 years old, and excludes RS models anyway

I thought this was about an S4 not an RS. It applied for my 2010 S4.

Opps - my apologies - saw Geordie jays B7 and thought it was a B7 RS4 - yes, the car is eligible for the 399 deal! Good spot - will save opening poster a stack! :beerchug:

Seems Audi is the cheapest for service, just need to have confidence that they wont screw it up... £375 is the quote I have and I can insist that they change the plugs

Did you ask about the service plan? It was on the Audi UK website last time I checked and your major service should include the spark plugs as you requested.
