Goodbye S4

Well after 10 months and 16000 miles it's time to move on.

B8.5 with the vital toys.

+ powertrain, grip, wonderful sports diff, laugh out loud stronic up shifts, versatility...The usual strengths..
- trim rattles. The door cards were prone to rattling but in the end I simply made the most of the car.

It will soon be up with Basingstoke audi, to be replaced with a new SQ5. RS4 may follow but the new RS4 may be the better bet.

Enjoy the SQ, B9 RS4 will probably be my next car unless the new S4 is as good as the B8.

Didn't fancy the RS4 in the end?

Did you look at Macan? IMO a much nicer car, though a slightly high a price.

SQ is mainly for wifey but I'll have some fun there I think. B9 may be an option. ..fingers crossed they retain a V8.

Your ex B8 was tempting. KL were very professional but couldn't get near on p/ex. I'll be commuting at least until July so the sq makes more sense.

had a look at the macan. ...definitely a step up but exceeds our budget.

Aye, that makes sense. They sold this week, so I think it was priced well in the market.

Definitely was well priced. I'll be speaking to those guys potentially just to see if there are any special closing deals in 2015 for the B8 RS4.

I have departed s4 and new Sq5 pictures but the functionality to add images here is a bit bizarre. How have you lot done it??

A fair question. It's a case of new client, new location. I've been commuting in the S4 as a dd - and it's been great. I'll now be commuting via train and given the pitiful local station car park, it's only fit for a snotter. The SQ5 comes in as a family car which is a reasonable default car with serious grunt.

The S4 has been wonderful - but it is a car you respect rather than love.

Then leaves open the option of a weekend car to be determined at some stage in 2015.....R8, Cayman GTS, 36k B8 RS4....not sure yet.

Fair enough.

I personally don't get the SQ5. Well I do, in that's it's a typical fast Audi. I.e looks bland, under steers everywhere and has no steering feel, but is very very fast

Which is great as a DD with a weekend toy

It works purely as a mumsey hotrod with big leathery chairs.
