Front Disc uneven wear

About 1/4 of my front discs appear not to be being used.
It is the 1/4 nearest the hub, which is covered by the disc pad but appears to not be in contact with the pad.
The car is a 2013 S4 with approx 8900 miles on the clock, is this normal or are both front discs bent, there is no vibration on braking.

Took the car into Audi today to let them investigate, seems strange as these are 4 pot callipers, perhaps they are not floating correctly

That's not right dude. On an older car I would suggest removing and greasing sliders etc and checking piston. But as yours is new a return is the better idea.

Got the car back from Audi, with new discs and pads, on speaking to the senior Tech, they could find nothing wrong, so they changed them as a precaution. Sounds like a load of cods to me. I suggested that perhaps the callipers weren't ,free floating but he said that they were. Very strange.
PS:- how long do pads lasting these any ideas?

Depends on how you drive but they should wear evenly regardless of how fast they wear out.
I guess now they've changed the discs and pads it's just a case of keeping an eye on it.
