Hi guys,

As per the title, has anyone moved from a BMW 335d to the S4?

What have your experiences been and have you enjoyed the move or regretted it?

My 335d is my daily driver and does lots of things well but I think it is let down by the gearbox. If it had a DSG/DCT style box it would be awesome!

My car is currently averaging around 30.3mpg according to the trip computer. Mixed driving. How much worse should I expect the S4 to be?

How have you found the performance difference? My 335d has 370 bhp with 730nm torque and top end it's really ballistic but I find it a little boring with no real driver involvement and no real sound track (I really miss the v8 in my RS4)

Any opinions welcome.

Thanks
Anees

Had my S4 avant for about a year now. Almost bought a 335d touring before it. The computer on the S4, says 26 mpg average, that's mixed driving since I bought it. Caining it, it drops to 21. But long runs at 50 to 70mph will see nearer 30mpg. Also had stage one revo remap done. Well worth it.

30MPG seems low from a 335d - I would of expected mid 30s at least! I get 26 on average from 2013 S4 Avant. I also considered a 335d and still might get one when the S4 is replaced.

I'm usually doing local driving and now also have a van for work so don't quiet need the same level of fuel economy as before hence the S4. lol
