Stage 2 plus exhaust - should I do it!!!

I swore blind when I bought the S4 I'd leave it standard, knew that wouldn't last long.
I keep looking at other options, C63 just for the noise, M5 for the power but when I think about it the S4 is probably a better all-round car than both those with the extras I have, Quattro, the low road tax, the MPG etc, etc...
So it might be modification time and I'm thinking of the APR exhaust and stage 2 from MRC, total price is a smidge over £4k, cheap option if I was considering changing for C63/M5 and I will end up with a very capable car that sounds good too.
Should I do it???!!!???

Just not sure about the exhaust, expensive choice and MRC say they've never heard one!

A guy on here had one and he loved it. Think he has sold it for an M3 now.

I have the stage two and it surprises a few super cars on the road, but not got the exhaust as that a lot of money just for noise... so glad I had the MRC stage two added... trouble is now I want more...

I've got the MRC stage 2 and it's fantastic. 0-60 in sub 4 secs with the gearbox map. Incredibly quick bit of kit I'd definitely say yes go for it.

What are the actual 0-60s owners of mrc stage 2 cars seeing? Is it closer to 3.5 or 4? I thought the mrc test car got down to 3.5??

I have the APR RSC CAT-back and it is brilliant (search for my posts on it from a year or so ago I guess). I will be dropping in to MRC for a check-up quite soon, so they will get to hear one before long.... Hope I don't end up having to buy something

I've only done about 6 launches since i got the car a couple of months ago and the quickest ive managed is 3.8secs. Im sure it could be done quicker by someone with more experience with the DSG box but its quick enough for me.

I have no empirical evidence but from what I've read (mainly on the US s4 b8 boards, audizine) the DSG box is fine with anything reasonable (up to mrc stage 2) but the manuals have issues (maybe just because its manual, but idk)
At the end of the day though, u are putting more stress on the drive train, so what do you think?
The answer to your question is "it depends" and as you are asking, I'd say you probably shouldn't do it.
I still have an extended warranty with mine and am more than happy with the performance, it's not worth invalidating my warranty and getting a 10k bill for a new sport diff etc
Just my 2 pence
