Thanks. Any idea of cost/part no, or I guess I could just phone Audi, but I was being lazy!
(and sometimes the OEM one is not actually the best one - it can be more expensive, and not the best fit, hence asking for advice rather than just phoning Audi parts. I previously bought a Peugeot 206 boot net on advice from a forum - it was perfect, and less than half the price of the VAG equivalent for my car).

Err, luggage net from Audi = £95!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I recoiled in shock, I said to him “I am thinking of the right thing aren’t I? ie. a net with some hooks in each corner?”, and he said “err,,, yes, that’s right,,, we don’t sell that many of them...”.
Now, I would find one really useful, but £95 for a piece of net with some hooks is a little steep.
The dipstick for £9 was a relative bargain.
Load-liner at £68 also not particularly cheap. (but again, useful).

95 pounds? Oh dear. An item to get 'throw in with the car' if I ever buy one from Audi then. They cannot be much different in size and shape to the B6 B7 one?

Looks here like it is 5N0065111
http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_S4-Qua ... /ES401883/
But when I search for this code, it comes up here
http://www.shop4volkswagen.co.uk/produc ... _5N0065111 and says it fits cars such as a 2002 Polo (which surely has a much smaller boot). Yes, the net will stretch, but it seems strange that the same net would be used for a Polo and a B8 Avant!
If it IS the same net, I bet if I rang a VW dealer to buy a 2002 Polo net it wouldn't be £95!!!

Without going as far as reaching for the tape measure [in the car park of an MK Meet - DODGY] I'd say the boot catches are the same distance apart width ways, maybe slightly further apart depth wise in the B8, net works fine. Cheers to John for letting me put my B6 B7 net in his B8 - especially as he had to empty his boot to do this!!

Thanks Ian. Looks like a decent fit! I actually ordered one off ebay about 2 hours ago, after digging around on the net to see which one would fit. It looks like the one you posted, but I don't have the code to hand as posting off my phone now, but if it's no good I'll return it and see if I can get a B7 one like that (which the one I ordered may be anyway!). £25 new from ebay, Audi OEM.
