Picked up my S4 today - an early 2009 model, manual, with lots of toys. But one question and one annoying problem;
1) Should the car have a service book ? The usual sort of thing that sets out the service schedules and lets the garage stamp the empty boxes ? I've the FSH in the form of receipts, but not the 'classic' service book.
2) now the irritating bit - I can't open the passenger door from the outside.
I can open it with the inside handle.
The car locks with the key fob after it has been opened, but then won't open with the fob.
I've checked the MMI and all doors are programmed to work (all the others do)
I've tried the central unlocking switch on the drivers door
I've tried double clicking the key fob
I've tried holding the inside handle open while jiggling the outside one, or pressing the key fob in this position - no go
Can't seem to find any definitive ideas . . .
Stuck door
Re: Stuck door
OK - found the service book (well a replacement one with the garage stamps in it anyway) - can I get a copy of the service schedule anywhere ? The car's on long life service at the moment.
But still no joy with the door - have now checked the passenger side door control fuses in the boot - both OK.
Any ideas, anyone ? ? ?
