Have finally joined the club

After much faff and indecision, I have finally joined the S4 club. S4 avant black edition - all the important toys.
Collected it from a dealership in Scotland and drove it down south today. Awesome, everything I had hoped for and expected. 'kin knackered now tho...

2200 on Friday ; 2900 now. What a car; even stock, the engine note on start-up is great. Menacing, but not parish council-baiting.

Welcome to the club. They are a great car & as you are no doubt aware, very tuneable should you want to.
Hope fully see you at a meet soon. Box Hill maybe?

What, actually meet up with real Internet people? Sounds good actually and box hill's not too far. How often are these meets arranged?

Yes, the internet people are real & often meet up for a chat & sometimes a hoon.
Box Hill meet was once a month for a while, but the weather & other commitments got in the way last year in a couple of the months. There is also one at Ide Hill which you just need to watch the forum for the dates. A good R8 turn out at that one normally.
If you drive your car on a daily basis then you will soon know your local petrol station attendant very very well. He may even invite you round for Christmas dinner, should he celebrate Christmas.
