Hi Guys,

ok appologies first of all if these questions have been answered before :(

I have been looking around for a new car for a while to replace my MK2 Leon Cupra , i had it from 4 months old fully loaded and its been a mixed bag of owner ship.

TBH theres nothing around that really takes my fancy or if there is Golf R comes to mind its just massivly overpriced !

anyway from left field one of my friends told me about a mint 2011 S4 Saloon for sale by one of his friends that would be available within my price range.
i have never though about one before and usually with cars you go looking for a model , read up all about the options you want ect ect and start getting sleepless nights lol
but because this has come out of left field i have no idea about options , i took the car for a test drive on Tuesday and liked it , the s tronic will take some getting used to ! , but im sure its the right choice for me , getting so pissed off in traffic jams cluctching every 2 feet grrrrrr
The power delivery is very linear and feels more like a just a big engined auto car , not the turbo kick from my Cupra , wonder if i will miss the turbo addiction?
has anyone else felt this?

Thtas the back ground
the car is white 2011 , done 19k miles , immaculate , just had second service , 4 new michellin tyres , black leather sports seats , electric and heated , hdd sat nav , front and rear parking sensors , ipod interface , 19" what i would call the RS spoked alloy wheels no kerbing.
i Think thats if for the options.dissapointed it doesnt have folding mirrors , think thats unforgiveable on an S car.

Some quick questions
does the supercharger need servicing?
if i was to map the car would the driving expercience change , would it feel more like my cupra? more kick?
fuel consumption , my cupra does about 300 miles from 55 litres , what could i realistacily expect from the S4? my trips are 8 miles a day total to and from work , general pottering around and every other weekend from middlesex to chichester to collect my daughters for the weekend.
hows the reliability of these cars?

Im sure there will be other questions lol
Thanks
Rob.
Excellent friendly forum btw.

Others may disagree but essential options in my book are:

Audi drive select (allows user adjustment of suspension, s-tronic box, engine, sports diff)
Quattro Sports Diff (makes the car corner much better than stock)
Super sports seats (you'll recognise these from the integrated headrest)
B&O sound system
HDD 3G Nav system (this is the latest version of the Audi Nav system on these cars)
Sunroof (but that's just me!)

As for turbo rush - I doubt you'll miss it much once you get used to the linear pull of a supercharger. A simple remap from the likes of MRC will transform the car from merely quick to very quick indeed - do some research on here!

Happy hunting.

Thanks for the reply

It has the super sports seats , aslo B&O Sound , together with hdd 3g , also forgot to mention has carbon inlays.

Does anyone know the price of changing the front grill from silver to black?
Also if i wanted to change the wing mirror backs to black do theycome pre painted? or would i have to get them painted black?
