Anyone know roughly what the percentage increase would be for Insurance on an S4 Avant with the MRC Stage 1 remap ?

Completely depends on the insurer tbh. Some insurers don't charge a penny for a Milltek, others point blank decline to cover a modified car

Ring your insurer?

Yes I think i will ring and check, just a little concerned that once you ask they mark your card and if you ever do claim they will go through the car with a fine tooth comb

You are a fool to mod your car without informing insurance anyway.

Totally agree Nickyboy .... all it takes is a fatal RTA, they would find the mods, invalidate your insurance and you would need to sell your house (and some) to pay the costs. Its a no brainer to do it above board imo

FON.
Try to find an insurer that uses a "power increase" instead of having to explain a remap to a cubicle drone.

OK so my insurer (The AA) say that they wont cover ANY modifications to my S4 - Can anybody give me ideas of who I could get a quote from and are reasonable. I'm 40 years old and full no claims etc so hopefully I tick most boxes but the AA see me as a Risk and im sure other companies think the same so any advice would be appreciated ?

One of the specialist brokers would be a good start.
Adrian Flux, Sky, A Plan, Footman James, REIS, Greenlight, Chris Knott etc

Thanks Ian ... called Adrian Flux and got an Open Modification policy for £160 more than the standard yearly premium - no individual mod quotes needed its a one price covers all as long as they are advised and the mod is listed on the policy all is well.
Thanks Again

Do they cove like for like, if not might be worth giving Sky Insurance a ring as they do.

Do you mean if stolen all mods are replaced too Noyjatat ?

Yeah pretty much that. If you had front end damage in a fender bender and my engine took the brunt and was repairable they will have it tuned by MRC again to the spec of the mods I have carried out or if written off we agreed in a price higher than the basic value of the car based on its mods.
Funny thing is for me with the forum member discount they give it came to £60 less with the mods than with LVE and no mods
