I'm a newbie to RS246, and thought I'd say hello in the B8 S4 section.

Ordered an S4 Avant BE a few weeks ago, which has been confirmed for build week 46, so hoping for December delivery .

Needless to say am super excited!

Had a few Audi's in the past, and have just reluctantly said goodbye to my 8P S3 . I thought it was time to move on and get something bigger/more practical.

Sounds good, post up spec you've gone for!

That's the spec I'm looking for in a used Saloon but seems like it's rare!

Hi there, spec looks great and I bet you're well chuffed.
About to put my deposit down for a S4 BE saloon but looking like a march 14 delivery. 12 weeks wait is going to kill me.

I picked mine up last week and waited 6 months in total, so you should count yourselves lucky

6 months...sheeez, did you spec gold plated ??

The waiting is a nightmare, but soon flies by.

After reading about a few peoples experience of waiting months & months, I decided to phone Audi UK to ask about factory lead times and whether the dealerships I was talking to had allocation. They informed me that one of them would not be able to get me a car until the new year, so I placed the order with the one whom was telling the truth. Sure enough, a couple of weeks after the order went in, a build week was secured.

The proof will be whether it lands next month though I suppose!

The call came through yesterday confirming the S4 is now in the UK, and should be at the dealer by the middle of next week.

Providing there are no delays/issues, collection is scheduled for the 17th.

Finally starting to feel real now!

The spec is near enough identical to mine down to the colour apart from the pano roof... Enjoy and remember rule 1.
