Thinking of changing my RS4 to an S4.

Just a quick questions really - when did the facelift occur and what were are the differences between pre-facelift and post facelift ?

Erm....

2012 it came in. As for changes off the top of my head:

Stop Start
0-62 dropped to 5.1 (Avant)
Fuel economy upped to 34 combined
Emissions dropped a bit to under 200
Crown gear diff added
Interior changes (New steering wheel (!!), gear stick, LED's etc)
Exterior changes (New headlights, grille, bumper tweaks, rear lights etc)
Speaker added to the exhaust note (piped into the sound system)

Oh and no manual ( )

Cant remember anything more.

SO the pre-FL don't have the artificial sound?

Mine doesn't, and I don't think it was added into any of the later models upto the facelift

Have you heard it with the piped in sound? Sounds pretty good.

+1 my late 2010 doesn't i think it is just facelift cars that have it[to drown out the squeaky brakes]

Also notice the colour options are a bit drab now. No sprint blue

Bit weird having the sound pumped in via speakers - rather have the real sound via zorts

Probably they realise that stock car isn't that interesting to listen to

Ditch the Audi centre sections and fit a straight through X pipe instead.

(just like moving from a Milltek res to a non res by swapping the centre boxes for straight pipes)

Slightly bigger tail pipes as well.
