AFAIK it will only go off if you switch the heated seats off.

The one on the loaner did yesterday.

If i put the passenger heated seat on to warm the seat up when i go to pick my mother up [about20 mins] by the time i reach her house the light has gone out on the passenger side but my seat is still on

I'm pretty sure you have to turn it off manually.

I had mine on low for a 100mile trip the other week. I can't remember having to turn them back on at any time.

Have you looked on the DIS to see where power is being used?

mine does the same. i think there is a weight sensor.. I need to turn off the heating for my seat manually but passenger resets to off when I restart the car and there is no passenger

i think you're right it might be linked to the passenger air bag sensor that stops the airbag going off if no one is in the seat.

That's a nice energy-saving feature

Another one is the light on the sunroof controller.. It seems that in he FL models they have removed the LED lamp but left the space for it! I thought it was just a problem with my car but apparently not.
