Nickyboy wrote:Mate it's getting silly. I initially wanted just a standard S4. I now have the BE, tech low, hill hold and super sport seats. After every extra option I promised myself no more. I figure this is a keeper so may as well spec it out. All I really wanted was the 3.0T and the 4WD now I have an extra 4k of options.
Yes, that option list is like a magnet! I didn't have sat nav on my B7 S4 and come resale time that's all the dealer kept harping on about before offering me a stupid trade in offer.

Crikey, a B7 without Nav is pretty rare!

Only found out recently that Nav was £2800 on the first 2003 V8 S4s like mine, and that was for the ancient RNSD system!

Maybe I'm just jealous as I cannot justify / afford to buy one of these puppies new! The depreciation is too much for me to stomach! For me its all about going second hand for the best car possible with as many options as possible, cash not finance. Dads Sportback and mine both have about 4k of options, makes life much nice, and should make them more appealing when the time comes to sell it on As mentioned in my previous (edited) post, I agree sometimes you have to be patient for the right car to come up though.

Yes it is, the odd thing was that it had pretty much every other option on it, but then again I bought it at a good price at 7 months old and enjoyed every minute in it - I know some people slate them but for me it was bang on and despite what some critics say (normally those who've never driven one) it went well and handled well - Don't want a debate on handling but my Impreza STI understeered more.

Likewise mine has loads of options but the standard half leather, meaning its got cloth inserts and the basic standard quality leather bolsters. Odd!

7 months old I bet you saved a packet!

It's due the last week of april, build week 14. Took from December 6th to 13th Feb to get that confirmed, don't know what Audi are playing at with orders at the minute but there seems to be a few people waiting just to get a confirmed build.

Do you use the order number on the order sheet to find out from customer services or something else?

Yes, after the dealer called to inform me that the build week had changed from 9 to 37! I called customer services, they ask what the complaint / issue is and also for the order number.

After I'd spoken to them I had a confirmed week after about 10 days.

I'm thinking all the options I keep adding will only delay the car. Il check in two more weeks to see if I have a proposed build week.

Nice Spec, pretty much what I've spec'd. Didn't go for the power tailgate as the wife was worried about getting one of the dogs caught in it!! What do you think of the B&O speakers, are they as good as the Bose ones from the B7?

My build week has now come forward to week 13.

Happy days! It's going to be a long 4-6 months wait I think for me. My dealer has said he is going to try and source another one early with similar spec. Here's hoping.
