I want an S4 but what should I get.

Is sat nav worth it? Dealers are advising me to get it but I have it on my iPhone and don't think over a grand is worth it. They are saying it will help resale which I understand but a grand for something I will barely use????

+1 I already had satnav on my phone and a Tomtom but there was no way I was ever going I buy a car without it. It absolutely will affect how easy it is to sell later on.

Sat nav may cost over a grand, but it will affect the resale value on an S4. And the centre console looks a lot better with it fitted.

Well the second one looks loads better. You sure it will be blank just cause the sat nav isn't there? I did read somewhere that there will be less on the FL anyway. Would I not get some of that by having the BE which has the music interface?

3.5k ouch. Maybe I will add the nav then. This will be my third order form due to me keep changing my mind.

Good choice with the sat nav. What's next on your ever increasing list of optional extras! Diff, drive select?

Mate it's getting silly. I initially wanted just a standard S4. I now have the BE, tech low, hill hold and super sport seats. After every extra option I promised myself no more. I figure this is a keeper so may as well spec it out. All I really wanted was the 3.0T and the 4WD now I have an extra 4k of options.

Sat Nav is a must have option nowdays for resale on any quattro, let alone an S4, RS5 etc etc.

Finance is the killer as mentioned above - you are tied. You could have a 61 plate registered prefacelift with 10k of options (Nav, 19s, ADS, sport diff, sport seats, upgrade leather, carbon trim etc etc) for LESS than the list price of a bog basic facelift with zero options.

Edited to add if you can go second hand, yes its annoying to have to keep searching and looking through adverts and the Audi locator, but it pays off. Four years ago now I sourced a Sportback for my parents, wanted just three options (MFSW, 6CD and rear parking) but surprisingly few cars had these three. Spent ages looking, missed out on a few by not being quick enough. Ended up hitting the jackpot though with a 16,000 mile car from an Audi dealer Nav, BOSE, phonekit and the aforementioned three options in Phantom Black for precisely 2/3rds list, cancelled company car, still smelt new, rear seats had never been sat in

With the finance they are giving 2300 towards deposit and very low APR plus I got 4k off the car. Yes it ties me and yes I will take a load of depreciation but as mentioned I look at monthly cost as another expenditure. The pre fl I found came out as the same monthly and that was with 8k off. I guess it explains why there are so many new audis on the road.
