Thanks very much, spec is - Lava grey black edition, black/magma super sports seats(heated), ADS, sports diff, storage pack, HDD nav and all the BE goodies.
Love the car and can't fault it - only downside is that it's not as sure footed on the winter tyre set up that's on at the minute.

You don't need winter tyres on a quattro! How does the sports diff feel? Any tips for an up and coming owner?

Quattro will get you going but won't help you when it comes to stopping time. For this, winter tyres help (a lot).

oops! a bit of a faux pas.

4wd & winter tyres are two different beasts! Had both, and love 'em, but starting, stopping and turning all require different things :)
Lots of rubbish cars slowly progressing to a nice shiny S4

After struggling a couple of years ago I wouldn't have a car without them, but each to their own, all I will say is that you definitely get less twitchy bum moments when the weather is icy, wet or snowy!
The sports diff does make a difference and dials out most of the understeer, one thing to bare in mind is that the diff and ADS are standard on the RS4 and there must be a reason for that.
Setting the car up to your personal preference is easy using the individual setting, I have mine set to - Diff in Dynamic, engine and throttle in Dynamic and suspension set to comfort, this is my favourite set up for a good blast! Comfort is great for a long motorway journey, auto is fine for day to day use but you will find yourself in a higher gear than you would choose when driving a manual, economic is a no no as you're in 7th gear by the time you're doing 30 mph.

My S4 was useless with just a small amount of snow on summers (michelin Ps3) couldn't get onto my drive. the mrs with an X3 on winters, no problem.

Oh dear. Is there another thread on it?

This is the symbol I use when I discuss my S4 :audibash:

Seems a lot of RS3's are having issues.
