Looking forward to getting my order placed in a couple of days. Did myself some homework online and sorted a discount of 7k off the list price, handy bargaining power for negotiations with my local dealer. Glad I expanded my search as originally I nearly put a deposit down on a new TTS. So hope the S4 proves to be the right decision long term. One big surprise was the road tax on the S4, it's the same as the TTS. Not bad for a 333 bhp V6.

I'm starting conversations with my audi dealer around an s4 avant and would love your advise on how you managed that deal?
At the moment there's only deals on finance?

Have a look on a website called carwow.co.uk . Configure the car that you want and within 24 hrs 5 official Audi dealers will get back to you with 2 prices..with and without finance.
Hope this helps.

p.s I opted for the minimum amount of finance so I can get the extra 2k off..and then pay the balance in 7 months time.
