'Resolved' :) Vibration 1100 RPM

Post by S4Stu » Tue Mar 17, 2015 10:34 am

Hi Everyone

I may get flammed but my question is

I have just bought a B8 S4 manual with 28k on the clock all standard and i have noticeed in stop start traffic that if pulling up in gear just below 110 rpm there is a bad vibration which resonates through the car

has anyone else had this as Audi dont want to know and said its normal

I can also replicate this vibration in neutral and holding the revs just under 1100 rpm

Help would be greatly appreciated or if anyone is in the macclesfield area without this fault who would be happy to prove audi wrong

Thank you in advance

Stuart

Just an update

My car has been at Macclesfield Audi since Tuesday and they have just advised me that the whole exhaust system needs to be replace and is around £500 which should cure the rattle and hopefully the vibration

Problem is i have only had the car since January and theya re saying its not a warraty issue and i need to pay for this

Anyone else had this experience in a short time of buying an approved used Audi ?

My car developed an irritating rattle at low revs. Turned out to be the resonators in the mid section of the exhaust.

All being replaced under warranty. My car is 2 years old though with 22k on the clock.

Hi guys

Full update, got my car back from Audi today after pushing with Audi UK

They have replace off side down pipe also midsection and both rattle and vibration have gone!!!!

Took longer than it should of as I flagged the fault with them and advised them of the issue, but at least all us sorted now !!!

Onto adding ADS :)

Cheers

Stu
