Playing music via bluetooth
Playing music via bluetooth
Is this possible to do on my S4 folks. I have a music app on my Samsung Note 2 which gives you the option of playing music via blue tooth but when I hit search it comes up with nothing ie it's not finding the car. Does work with my phone for calls no problem so not sure what's wrong.

Re: Playing music on via bluetooth
Do you have AMI?
If so yes.
If not, no.

Depends which year B8 also. Not possible with all AMI equipped cars out the box.

Car is a 61 plate. What is AMI? Forgive my ignorance but I'm quite new to Audis.

Audi music interface
Can you plug in your ipod? If so you can buy a Tune2Air ... Google it.

+1 for Tune2Air. Just plug it in to your iPod lead in the glovebox, pair it with your phone, select Media on the car and off you go. Track titles, control via steering wheel, it's that easy.
Re: Playing music via bluetooth
Just bought myself a Tune2Air for my car - thanks folk....
Plugged into glovebox AMI connector and it paired up quickly and indeed works exactly as if the iPhone was plugged into that AMI cable instead. Outstanding recommendation!
Question though - is that AMI cable permanently powered or does it shut down after a while, ie: will it eventually flatten the battery if left for long enough? I've used other cars instead of the S4 for about 5 weeks and was worried that it might not have started when I needed to use it (at 5:30am yesterday morning). But I needn't have worried, as it sparked up as if it had been parked for 2 days, not 5 weeks. Soooo much better than my C5 RS6 in that regard.
So will this Tune2Air be powered up forever and risk impacting my (till now) perfect battery stability do you think?
Thanks.

Easy way to test.
Just try to pair when your cars locked

Where's the best place to get this tune2air cable?
Re: Playing music via bluetooth
Seems it doesn't pair when locked, so I guess it's not powered all the time. Good test, thanks!
Amazon - search for Tune2Air WMA1000, and it's just the Bluetooth module, it needs the Audi AMI cable too.

Hi all
I just got the WMA2000 Tune2Air i.e. the one with the usb jack and plugged it into the AMI cable in my glovebox (2013 S4).
My iPhone 5s connects to the Tune2Air but on the MMI screen, it's not showing up. Help!

Holy thread resurrection!
I have bought a Tune2air. Does anyone know if you can make it display track information on Android? The music plays but it doesn't have any track titles at all

Sent the Tune2Air back. Not a fan of trackless titles and skipping on Android
