Changing from B7 RS4 to B8 S4

Hi All

I've recently sold my B7 RS4, mainly because it wasn't getting much use (not enough to justify it sat there anyway) and it wasn't suitable as a daily driver for Mrs S4Won due to the manual 'box and V8 "power".

Anyway, Plan A was to stick with the A4 workorse and fuggetaboutit. But, well.. you see, i've done a bit of homework on B8s and feel that with the auto box, the v6 lump and everthing else, that this could be a daily for Mrs S and also provide me with some weekend fun.

So.. question..

Assuming it'll have necesasry gadgets (s-tronic, driver select, sports diff etc) will this tick the boxes?

Or will I left underwhelmed with the performance and my Mrs still a bit scared with the power and delivery? (not planning to mod it at this time)

Spending about 25k, so non facelift for that money i'd imagine.

I went from a B7 RS4 to an E90 M3 and have just bought a B8 S4.

The S4 is a lot more refined, very up-to-date and makes the B7 seem very dated and old. The power delivery is good, as it gets through the gears it seems to want to go more and more, you can certainly feel the surge from the supercharger.

My missus hated the RS, was ok with the M3 but really likes the S4.

My only issue is very clunky gear changes on the stronic box when in dynamic mode, but I believe a remap will sort that.

Same as my mrs. Loved our S4, hated the RS 5.
