Service question

Another question from me. I still dont get the servicing on my car.

If I go into the car setup and servicing it says that the oil service is due is 2700 miles / 120 days and that the next service is due in 9700 miles / 340 days. Now what I dont get is what happens in 2700 miles time, which will come quicker than 120 days for me, and I have the car serviced. Does that mean that its only 7,000 miles to the next service (9700 - 2700) ?? If so does that mean the car needs to be serviced twice a year if your doing around 15,000 miles ?

Nothing online / google seems to indicate this so just after some advice please.

Mines just had its first service. I am on the yearly service schedule which means an oil service every year or approx 9500 miles followed by a proper service the next year or after another 9500 miles. If you do the 9500 miles in less than a year then obviously your services will be more frequent than 1 per year.
