Wheel sizes / offsets

Not the best answer but 17s won't fit - according to Audi, I think the offset is meant to be ET43. I'm after a set too and am probably getting them from Revolution in Gateshead, £1000 for replicas and Goodyear winter tyres. I've been looking for a 2nd hand set but the genuines are very expensive and the cheaper ones from the B6/7 have a different bore.

The pcd and offset are fine but you'd need to check the bore, I think the B8 A4 has a 66.5 centre bore.

Std B8 S4 wheel in 19" form is 8.3x19 ET43 with the larger 67mm centre bore. RS5 wheels are 9x19 ET33 and although the centre bore size is again of the large variety, the wheels stick out a mile and look ridiculous. I only test fitted them and they were without tyres, but there's not way that even a simple roll of the arches would make then work properly - there'd have to be tyre/wing interference as they stick out so much. My view only of course....

It took me ages to work out that the Titanium Rotors I wanted for my S4 had to come from another B8 fitment, as despite looking the same, every Rotor config seems to be model specific. Be very wary what you buy on FleaBay unless someone can give you the correct measurements (which are always on the inner face of the wheels, so there's no excuse!).

Anyone know for sure if a set of 255 40 19's will fit as standard

Standard tyre fitment obviously is 255 35 19's

cheap set of winters available but in the 40 aspect so want to make sure first..........

thanks

Could rub, as they'll be nearly 13mm taller in the sidewalls - 1" taller overall. Go narrower on the Winters and lift the profile for a better ride and improved snow traction I'd say. Something like a 235/40 R19 (just a 5mm taller side wall, which would be fine), or even go For 18's and extra wheels for the best flexibility and choice.

Just ordered a set of winter alloys and Dunlop winter tyres from revolution in Gateshead, good deal and great service, I'll get them fitted at the end of next month so hopefully the weather will be dire this winter! Wasn't going to bother but couldn't face ruining my 19s over the winter months.

What make and size did you go for ? Have a set of Audi 17's from my A4 B8 in the garage but have a feeling they won't fit :bash:

17s fit on the B6 B7 S4 but I'm pretty sure they don't on the B8 S4. You got 17x7.5 with 225/45 or 225/50 winter tyres?

I've gone for 18"x8.0 RS6 reps with Dunlop winter sport 4ds, fancied RS4 reps but the offset wasn't right and would have meant that the wheels would have stuck out from the arches.

17s don't fit a B8 S4.
