I personally want the mirror thing and the oil temp but have no equipment or knowledge of all this stuff. Can a dealer do it for me? If so I assume they charge a shed load?

If not anyone in the Bristol area able to help?

It isn't a big job and would take a decent Tech or Master Tech about 15 mins max I reckon. Whether they would agree to do it is another thing, as Audi dealers can be really annoying. I had to almost sign a disclaimer for having the audacity to order a proper dipstick intended for an A6 3.0 TFSI and use it in my S4. "Audi cannot condone the use of parts or modifications not approved by......." etc etc. Utterly ridiculous (and the Parts guys knew it too).

But, having said that, it's worth a try. Might be easiest to zip up to MRC for a morning and have them do it properly, plus I'm sure there'd be much to look at whilst they're doing it!

I'm afraid I may come back completely broke after a trip up there. I have no desire for more power or better handling so maybe I would be ok. I might call them and see what they actually could do that I would like.

Called Audi Bristol to see if they would do it and the response from the workshop is that this can't actually be done! I asked them if they wanted me to tell them how to do it, they said they'd call back.

Car enthusiasts on the Interweb very often know more about the vehicles than some of the technicians in the dealerships do. Will be interesting to see if they come back with helpful information....

I reckon I either buy the cable myself or get a list of things I want done and go to MRC. Trouble is I don't know what I'm missing as the car seems complete.

There really isn't much that you need to do to the car - it really is that good already! Get them to enable OilTemp/LapTimer and Mirror turndown. I also did the BAttery Meter, but that's going to be of little use most of the time. I did enable Vehicle in Motion, but that's only any good if you have the DVD player option.

If you don't track the car then the std brakes will probably be fine in truth. If you fancy another 100bhp, then either the MTM Cantronics plug-in boxes or a readily available remap from a reputable specialist like MRC or QSTuning, then it's just a swipe of the Credit Card away!

I also removed some of the sound proofing mat behind the supercharger and also swapped the (mildly) restrictive but very sound deadening Airbox-Throttle Body intake pipe with a carbon beauty from APR. Bit more whine when on the gas, but otherwise just as quiet on cruise.

Oh yes, and get some Michelin Pilot Super Sports when your current tyres wear out - they are beyond reproach IMHO.
