Has anyone any experience of putting a Maxi-Cosi base unit in their car? I've got an Avant which has ISOFIX in all the seats apart from the driver's seat, but upon checking with Maxi-Cosi directly, none of their bases are 'approved' for use in an A4/S4 with ISOFIX.
I'm assuming this is more of a paperwork and testing issue, rather than a technical incompatibility.
Any experience out there?

Re: ISOFIX seats
Hi Andy,
We had the cabriofix (first baby seat) in my S4 with the super sport seats no problem. I now have the priorifix, all with no problems.
HTH.

Re: ISOFIX seats
Thanks for this. Did you have one of the bases for the Cabriofix, e.g. the EasyFix or FamilyFix? or did you just secure the CabrioFix directly using the seat belt?Necroscope wrote:We had the cabriofix (first baby seat) in my S4 with the super sport seats no problem. Hi,
I have an avant S4 with super sports seats. No probs with either the family base unit or the priorifix

Re: ISOFIX seats
Are 'super sports seats' the standard seats? How would I know if I have them?
Re: ISOFIX seats
No, they're different, but not radically so.
My wife has a B8 A4 TDI (boring family!) and that has ordinary seats- both fit fine with that too, so shouldn't be an issue for you

Re: ISOFIX seats
Thanks for the replies guys. I think we'll go for the EasyFix base. That way we can use either seatbelts (approved) or ISOFIX (not approved) to secure
