Megga Tuned Audis on Here?

Post by Paulm » Mon Sep 10, 2012 4:36 pm

Any mental RS6's on here or is it just mainly Remap and exhaust?

I have booked my RS in to get remapped on the way home when I pick it up a week on Saturday. Simple remap until I get round to the exhaust.

Anyone with a De-cat pipe or 200 / 100cell cats etc.

Not looked yet but is there a pre-cat on each bank as well as 2 main cats? I gutted my S4 pre cats years ago and made quite a difference looking to do the same with this one.

Any advantage in bigger / front intercooler.

maybe map and pipe are enough??

Any opinions appreciated

MRC do an 840 or 860 BHP package I think.

Surely 700 to 730 is enough?......without spending mega money..and without doubt compromising reliability.....3.7 to 60..i think about 7.5 to 100...and mental in gear times???

I think that would be plenty quick for me.

Surely 840 odd bhp will mean mega torque that would but the box under serious strain???

BUT....im all for someone going for mega figures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

Then you'd be chasing mega figures and mega numbers with mega pounds. It has been said that the 'box will live with 1000Nm. That said, living with 1000Nm could be very handy, I'd love to just walk around with 1000Nm in my pocket.

I was going more along the lines of reliability and power.

On my S4 gutting the pre cats meant I could run 3 degrees more advance before encountering DET. Very handy as I can't get 98 where I live so now and again it will get 95.

Same with cooler charge air, the colder the better

Don't get me wrong 800bhp would be mental

I just wondered if there were any nutters on here.

MRC will map on Tesco 99 as a recommendation and the numbers being quoted are based around that. If you map for 95 you're not going to see anything like the same gains.

I suggest a discussion with MRC, if you're going to be using 95 more often than not you'll be losing out. The map is for 99 specifically as I understand it.

It will be 98 / 99 nearly all the time. Every time I go to Aberdeen I will fill it up. The very most it might get 95 to get to Aberdeen
