Average MPG

Post by Revolution » Thu Jul 12, 2012 12:46 pm

Hi

Ive been asked by a non forum customer and now curious myself...
Whats the average MPG on these twin turbo V10 monsters...?

On my B7 RS4 im getting 21-25mpg around town and 30-33mpg on a 85mph motorway run...

Average 60 ltr tank gets me around 320 miles....

Only 5.4mpg on the autobahn last year though ...gulp..!
:kissmyrings:

High teens average. Low/mid if going for it. You might get low 20s on a 70-80 cruise.

Best I've got from my 80ltrs is 340 miles. When it says zero range it's being quite serious!

My average is 17.5mpg. I'm sure it'll do 25mpg if you drive at 60mph in 6th gear. You'll struggle to find someone with the self control to do this however.

The higher state of tune on the RS makes quite a difference compared to the basic S model; I get around 18mpg round town and have seen 29mpg on a motorway run at 75mph.

I think it is only the US that has 3.7 or 3.8 litres to a gallon, everywhere apart from that is 4.5.
