Sat Nav DVD Update

I am back in the RS fold having just had 14 months driving a Jag XFR. The Jag was a great car, but much prefer having the security of quattro underneath me. Before the Jag I had a B7 RS4.

My car has the 3G DVD SAT Nav, and am I right in thinking the 2011 update is now available? Are these updates relatively easy to do yourself if you get the DVD's?

Any advice appreciated.

3G DVD nav? you must have a saloon or a plus then.

The 3G updates are done by AUdi online only, so you cannot do them yourself. You need to buy an activation key from parts and book your car in to be updated. The dealer should hold the SD card with the 2010 (not 2011) maps on and the update is completed by entering the activation key online to the VAS system.

Yes it is a saloon, registered Jan 2010. I wonder if it already has the latest version then?
