Looking around for an RS6 Avant. Have a TT with red DIS and an S3 SB with white DIS. Got me wondering when the RS6 went through this change and what else happened with the facelift?

Also how do I tell from photos of cars on the Audi used car locator?

I may be wrong, but I think the only change on the 2009 MY cars was the adoption of the hard drive based 3G MMI sat nav.

Just looked at the Teak Brown plus on the locator and that has red DIS so I guess the current RS6 did not receive the white DIS.

Looking at things another way, how do I tell a post facelift car from a pre? Thanks

Anything post November 08 is likely to be facelift I'd have thought. Mine is September, so it has the DVD sat nav. The 3G version is instantly spottable because it features 3d imaging of landmarks, although this might not necessarily be shown on the locator, of course.

All 'Plus' cars are facelifted.

The new sat nav is ace .. Love the fact it tells you the type of petrol station ...

I think that is the disc so 2010 DVD will also give this on older SatNav units but haven't bought a disc yet so can't say for sure !

Old hat on the pioneer systems im affraid. I do love it though. Shell V-Power all the way.

And a number of others I don't doubt. However the 3G MMI is a superb integrated tool, something that the aftermarket solutions can't achieve to the same extent.

What exactly do you mean by white DIS? Is this the multi-colour DIS (as opposed to the monochrome red version)?

If so, as far as I know all the C6 model RS6's have a colour DIS irrespective of whether you got a pre or post facelift car. Incidentally the same for the B7 RS4 it also has a colour DIS.

Dunno mate maybe I got lucky, but I've definitely got a colour DIS in the instrument cluster and the hard drive based 3G MMI.
