Auto Wiper Sensor

Post by Akira » Tue May 11, 2010 11:56 am

Is it me or is this shockingly bad? I have it set to one 'click' up and it seems really intermittent in wiping the screen, sometimes to the point where I'm also blind.
Is it bad or just something i'm missing?

No problems with mine except it sometimes mistakes bright cloudless skies for p**sing down with rain every now and again.
I just quickly turn them off and on again and it cures it. I've owned several Lexus's and Merc's and they too sometimes suffer from the problem I've described.

I'm actually quite happy with it. One of the best I tried so far.
The Lexus I had before was quite good, but it is much better than the BMW.

Is there something to adjust the sensitivity of them? Dont fancy a trip to the stealers just for this....

Sure, on the lever there's a "thing" that you can roll up or down to increase or decrease the sensitivity, I believe there are 5 different positions.

And it actually makes a difference.

As MC says above... the small "rolling" lever facing you on the RH stick controls the sensitivity... up = more sensitive.

Have to say mine seem fine, generally have them fully sensitve and back it off as to suit conditions.
