Pads and discs

Post by Bushy » Fri Apr 16, 2010 11:18 am

So just got the warning light on, 20k miles

Looks like new discs too

How long has anyone else gone before changing pads and discs?

Been quoted £955.99, seems quite reasonable

Booked it in but guess when I get there they will say no stock need to keep it for 2 days

Anyone tried anything else?

You're right, sounds like a good price.
I'd expected they'd be a lot more, as I had the front replaced on my old RS4 last year and that was about £900.

pads and discs

Doug just fitted AP racing discs with original pads and calipers. Discs I think are 405mm and stopping is awesome. They just dont seem to wear out either. Had aset of AP discs on my old RS4 and even with 60,000miles on them there was minimal wear. Different mounting bracket required for caliper so obviously more expensive but may pay in the long term.
