Hello All
Joined site today as picked up RS6 this week. Purchased locally, advertised on pistonheds.
here is the link from pistonheads:
http://pistonheads.com/sales/1582710.htm
After owning many super cars over the years, believe have finally found a car that gives the same buzz and can still ferry the growing boys around.
Has many extras but not the keyless entry which is a shame but think i can cope !! Previous owner has put a Miltek exhaust on it which gives it an amazing sound.
One thing I need help with is connecting my iphone to the bluetooth. It sees the phone but fails to connect. on about 3 of the 50 attempts it comes up with the 16 digit key but i seem to be too slow at typing and if fails. Another thing I noticed is the phone is seeing another bluetooth ID and keep trying to connect to that one which is BTAXXXX. Am I correct in that there are 2 different connections?
I thought I was ok with manuals and technology but age must be creeping in !
Any help appreciated
Simon

Connection to the iPhone should be easy, I've not had any problems (with MMI 3G, not sampled the predecessor). Should pair with 'Audi MMI xxxx''. Just a case of whacking the key into the phone.

Welcome to the club, car looks hot
Try seeking the car from the phone, have a feeling mine played about once and seem to remember that's how I got there in the end.

Thanks all
Have looked thru a few threads and will have another go this evening
If all else fails, a trip to the dealer I think.
On another note, does the remapping by DMS or others show itself to the dealer when servicing?
Cheers

Shouldn't do, will lt you know as mine is in next Tues... pretty sure they'll notice if road tested though so keeping on good terms with your tech may be a good move

I would have thought they would know if the code wasn't OEM. They *should* be able to tell!
I was asked by my dealer prior to one of the recall updates whether I had had a re-map.

.
Welcome Serge.
Great looking car.
I notice from the Piston Heads ad, it says it has 590bhp ...does the slight increase in power come via the Millteks?

Code as in map code. There will be a way of determining whether it is OEM or not. Whether the dealer is bothered is a different matter. Not sure I'd want to have the discussion if my gearbox was in a million pieces and I wanted the warranty to cover it!

Apparently so. It was fitted when I bought the car. I test drove the black car advertised at tonbridge audi which is standard (and not the right options imo). The car did sound muted comapred to the miltek but in all honesty I have not driven them sufficiently to really tell if there is any performance improvement (a good driver could possibly tell immediately but not me). Both cars have the dog straining at the leash feel !!!
The best bit about the milteks is the sound of up and down shifts. you get a real low grumble and bark at the same time. I spend so much time changing gear just to hear it !!!
Cheers
