So my car came with Pirelli P Zero, changed to the same at 13k miles and have ordered some Michellin Pilot Sport 2's
What has anyone esle tried? And what mileage out of them with what type of driving?
I do a fair bit of motorway driving so they should last longer?

I'm on P Zeros as well, but when the time comes to change I'll definitely get the PS2s. I had a set on my RS4 and they were great.
How much did you pay for them, if I may be so rude.

On OEM P Zeros... 6.5k and going strong with pretty varied driving between balls out and OMG lets try getting some miles out of this tank.
Can you get the PS 2's 102 y rated or close?

I'm on Dunlop Sport Maxx 102Ys.
CostCo want £310 per corner for Michelin PS in the 102Y loading. I thought that about £60 over the odds.
Also interested in others experiences on different rubber. Have noticed they are a special order for most places in doing a bit of pre-shopping research.

Same as nudenut .. Original P Zeros... 10k miles and still plenty of tread front and back .. spirited driving .. nothing nuts, no track days

Spoke to my local dealer in Reading, he has some of the Yoko Advan sport tyres that are mainly used on Bentleys, seems like a plan, another 2 tonne plus car that can do 200mph?
He has a set he wants to shift and tells me £225 plus VAT each, the PS2's would be more like £285 each. Only trouble is he has only got one set so once gone it would be £265 each, thinking of holding out the next few k's as the P Zero are ok at the moment and order some PS2's as worried about the Yoko's being too soft, although the Yoko's I had on the B5 RS4 were excellent

quick question to clarify, on the Michelin UK site they have or suggest for the Rs6, the Pilot Sport or the Pilot sport 3, when the comments say PS2 does that simply mean the PS in its second incarnation. The PS would appear to be a far more suitable tyre and also has the magic R01 reference for the 19". I assume the PS is also what you all refer to as the PS2.
can i also ask why the PS2 over the PZero: better grip, wear, comfort, noise? I am a Pirelli fan having run them and loved them on my XKR and likingg the Rosso's on the S5. For winter tyres its the Alpin every time though. Thanks

Perilli tyres P zero in my opinion squell like a pig on high speed cornering, Pilet Sport 2 - PS2 - give much improved high speed cornering and better wet weather road holding you will wonder how you survived without them

Sorry to seem pedantic but the only Michelin Tyre i can find that is suggested for the RS6 is the Pilot Sport
http://www.michelin.co.uk/michelinuk/en ... 00256.html there is no reference to PS (Pilot Sport ) 2 on the UK site, but there is in the US and the tyre looks exactly the same. I just want to be sure if i do plump or switch from the stock boots ( which i suspect will be Pzero's ) I put the right rubber on.

Pirelli PZero's standard fit from factory.
Seem fine to me. Had the same on the RS4, albeit that was a lighter car. Pretty good grip v durability, though may be tempted to go the Michelin PS2 route, when its time to change over.

Great thanks for the tips guys, sounds like Mitchellins one the factory fit is thru. sounds like the powerful heavy beast chews the rubber fairly quickly. My Jag XKR was fairly light on the rubber, 15k, with loads of tread remaining when i flicked it for being an unsuitable family car!
