Prices R dropping ....

Post by Condor24 » Tue Oct 21, 2008 5:32 pm

Delivery mileage V10s are now appearing sub £ 70,000.

I'm looking forward to arranging a test drive on an MTM 700 bhp in Germany, and then deciding what to buy.

I think that they could be as low as 60k by Xmas. There will also be a big drop come 1 Nov when the first demo's reach 6 months old - I think that is when Audi finish subsidising a demo and the dealer has to pay for it out of their own pockets

They'll not want cash, prefer finance for the commission !!

Give it another 6 months and they'll be DESPERATE to shift petrol guzzlers like this, everyone will.

I will stick to my guns, I dont think there will be massive plummet in the price, sure it will go down, but not by the 30 or 40k talked about on here ( he says without even checking PH's). I am so sure of it, that if that car is for sale one year from the launch date that has depreciated by 35k or more, (i will be generous and say a base price of £75k new) i will do what clarkson did and eat my hair. ( or give £100 to charity- choice of Liwi as she is at the mo the only one on here that has one i believe).

stipulations- not just "one or two cars" on pistonheads but a general concensus that the price has now dropped to say £40k. Or any dealers in the country with one up for that money that is an "average car"........

I will keep my side.... :)

spoke to a dealer today and this question came into the conversation, he rekons give it another 6 - 8months and you could be looking 45k and under..now that could be worth thinking about

They offered me 10% or £8100 straight discount if I were to continue with my order, that was back in May. These will be circa £50k at/around Christmas, especially the demonstrators. showing a £30k drop in 8 months. Horrendous.

It won't be long, depreciation seems terminal at the moment until they start hitting magic numbers. I am involved in a lot of Porsche finance, 911's are now astounding value for money.
