I have just spent 24hours in a RS6 Avant kindly loaned to me by Stafford Audi as i have one on order for August.
I have to say that i agree with some of your comments about the look of the car and in some colours it does look abit understated( mine is sepang blue with silver leather.de-restricted to 174) but looks aside the car is a monster-such power it is like travelling first class on concorde.

I do not for one minute think the car will drop £50,000 in three years and i have a finance agreement that gives a very reasonable value in 3 years time.

Anyway i will let you know how i get on when it turns up at Stafford.

Hi skiboy and welcome.

Wow, you are buying a £77k+ car on finance? What's the APR? 9.6%??

Whilst £50k drop in three years is unlikely, given the current market in 2.1+Tonne V10 biturbos it's resale value to prospective purchasers is not likely to be far off £40k irrespective of any financial agreement.

Hmmm, anyway sepang and silver would be my choice too. Good luck! :)

Audi are removing the limiter and keeping the warranty valid!

Don't Audi have the 155 due to parts not tested past 155 and if it passes 155 things could break or fall off.

That's the story I understood with my RS6, still got it to 175+ though ;)

To quote Audi "derestricted to 174mph", but the engine and car can go faster - But I'm wondering if that is speedo mph? In which case it might be less.

Apparently if you look in the Italian filled sweety box, a Carbon Fibre plaque at the top back of the block, instaed of the black 'plastic' signifies derestricted engine.
