Thanks

Just need to move the existing one on before then-though I am very tempted to keep it-five years and 80 k-nothing else compares.

I'm still down for one of the 1st Saloons, but unlikely i'll follow through with my order. Got confirmation from Audi, months back but still no idea when Saloons are coming.

I have to ask -why are you reluctant to take delivery of your saloon-agreed you may have the best Audi product in your current RS4-but you have already had most of the Q cars -so why not continue.

On another note-went shooting today and the owner of the ground had just taken delivery of a current RS6-one of my guests remarked that all things become common -unlike his ability to hit the high clays !

Simply it's weight. If the Avant is 2.1 Tons then my thinking is the Saloon will be too close to the way too heavy 2 Ton mark & that will make it woeful on track which although not a frequent visit for me, i do really enjoy.

That & what i feel will be truly epic levels of depreciation make me feel taking a new RS6 could be just far too risky & TBH i'm really enjoying the RS4 so see no point changing just yet into something that point to point will possibly be slower.

Weight is always an issue -yet most cars seem to be getting heavier

I was realy impressed with the RS4 but found it a bit too snug after the 6,depreciation will be an issue but throw in three years waranty-European cover this time -and decent dealer back up,I tend to keep my cars longer than three years so should not be too bad.

All these cars are expensive compared to standard models, worse if you spec up an M5 to the same levels and then move it on after the first year.
I had a demo/dealer car out which was specced to 81 k,just been offered it after 6 months at 51 k-ouch !

I had a Dealer MD's E60 M5 that was closer to £90k list & i picked that up for for about £60K at 9mths old with 6K miles. Lost another £12K on that over the 9mths i owned it.

Still think the RS6 is going to drop as badly if not worse than the M5. Me thinks i'll be stopping throwing so much money into such fast depreciating motors.

Just cancelled my RS6 as I too feel there will be a massive hit, similar to the M6 IMO. Worse then M5 for sure.

Also agree with some that new RS6 could be an answer to a question that nobody asked. If it were at the old rate of circa £60k then I would have bought one as I did before.

Can't justify a £25-£30k hit in first 12 months. Obscene.

Also feel that on reflection the RS6 simply does not have the presence of the RS4 and is seriously heavy. Circa £80,000, that's R8 money.

Audi centre have still got my car on order under my name and are returning my deposit of £5k.
Very good about it.

Cancelled my order too and sticking with the RS4 - RS6 just too much money for what it is. I am sure i will be very keen for a 2nd hand buy in a year or so though.
