Two ultra-responsive turbos will be added to the Lambo-derived 5.2-litre V10 from the S6, resulting in an eye-watering 530bhp.

The turbos will make sure that the RS6 isn’t short of twist. The smaller turbo will be tuned for low-revs response, while the bigger blower takes over at higher engine speeds for overtaking wallop. No definitive figures are out yet, but the V10 should be good for at least 500lb ft.

Sounds good write up but looks damn awful in my opinion from the front quarters and side profiles, hope the stealth testing is not the actual bodywork as it just doesnt gel together as it should, the rear is the only good aspect.

Interesting that it appears they've ditched the C5 RS6 & B7 RS4 DRC in favour of the wizzo magnetic suspension!?

Hope it is March 2008. My No.1 slot at my local dealer is confirmed & they have had my £1500 for a while now (robbing bar-stewards).

Is there an approx cost of the new RS6 yet ? I'd imagine it's going to be in the £65-£70k range, anybody know anything differant /

Hopefully they will make some major changes to the looks because that's bloody ugly.

I've heard the arches will be rolled aka current RS4 & previous RS6 & the body kit will be subtle, but distinctive over the rest of the A6 range.

TBH i'm a bigger fan of the current A4 & A8 shape over the A6, however with close to 600BHP stock, more torque than anyone could ever need & no doubt an immediate 50-70BHP increase with just a simple map, who needs it to look that good , Audi have the R8 for that.

Also heard Ceramics will be standard & options will include B&O

I would imagine a reliable 800bhp and similar torque is going to be possible with this engine. Just hope the arches are rolled like you say.

You can bet i'll be going nowhere near those levels.

Just a simple re-map & possibly a Milltek (depending on stock system noise). Can't wait for mine & even more so, getting some definative factual info, which i hope to get on the 16th July.

Needless to say, but keep us posted if you do get info Paul...
