Does anyone happen to know what the part number might be for that little air recirculating valve might be (Part number 9 in the above diagram) ? It looks fairly simple and has "KYS-PA6-GF30" stamped on the side of it. I can't tell if it's actually part of the whole air box assembly or if it's actually removeable or not? If I search or that part number I get lots of hits for PA6-GF30" that don't appear to be related.

I have had a hell of a time trying to track down a coolant leak. I replaced the whole coolant expansion tank and what a PITA that was. These engine bays are CRAMPED! I couldn't work out what was holding the airbox on until I removed the filter and found those 2 rubber lugs and all it needed was a good yank. Once I had that out the way, sorting out the large hose on the bottom of the coolant expansion tanks was a doddle.

Problem was, I ended up with this line with a broken bit of plastic tube on the end of it that I couldn't work out where it went. After much investigation (and further destruction of the crumbly plastic line) I worked it was a coolant line that disappears in behind the Oil reservoir and up behind the Drivers side (RH here in NZ) light into the main coolant tank. So I figure, All I need to do is to take the light out to get to the lines going to the coolant tank. How hard can that be? Well, you want to take a light out (https://youtu.be/lmqE0VhHtOs) - you first need to take the bumper off. OK... how hard can that be? https://youtu.be/MRQ4AjnCGmY - looks like VERY, if you don't have a lift, a garage or space to take both front wheels off at the same time... , ah yeah and don't forget to disconnect the Adaptive Cruise Control first - https://youtu.be/M690zD45uKQ at least that was relative easy.

Anyway, all of that led me to discover the broken recirc/diverter(?) valve on the bottom of the airbox. Can it be replaced with something similar (https://madnessautoworks.com/index.php? ... =300019127)? Or maybe repaired or something? I have the spring and plastic inner thing but the diaphragm is torn and the cover is definitely not going back on.

Thanks in advance!

I'll answer my own question - Looks like "06A 145 710" might do the trick!!

The way Audi designed it is that your "supposed" to order a whole new lower airbox which comes with one installed - that's such a joke isn't it, being told by Audi to order a massive part rather than a simple replaceable unit!

My only concern would be what boost levels those non-RS6 valves might cope with, even though they look similar, although you'd likely find they can cope with more boost than the RS6 specific ones being from a smaller, more boost engine.

What is the stock boost level on these engines? I think I read somewhere that it hits 22psi which seems rather high? I ended up buying some metal ones (spring and washer instead of rubber diaphragm) similar to the Forge DVs linked above, that look like they be sweet as!

Just an update should anyone else need this info - Replacement OEM dump valve or blow off valve etc - I just had my two replaced at MRC today, if you remove the OEM one fitted into the bottom of the airbox, then drill out the hole left behind to 25mm (1inch), you can press fit B5 RS4 BOV's directly into the hole and add a touch of silicone around the edge, keeping everything OEM.
