The number is correct, it is the large diameter o-ring between the inlet tube and the turbo. The figure is not correct. Had the same confusion a few years ago.

The part number is for an o ring but it’s not the part im after.

The seal I need is a rubber coated metal part, this is the current part

Sorry, I mixed up things. I was thinking of the WHT003438 o-ring for the tube that connects the turbo to the charge air cooler.
Are you really sure that the part number showed in the parts catalogue is not correct ?

Yep, the part listed in ETKA is a big O-ring for the end of the inlet pipe where it meets the turbo and it's listed as 'always replace' if you remove the inlet pipe. The inlet seal here is also listed 'always replace' in repair instructions although similar to ETKA in the exploded diagram the reference number used is not the same as the number used in the legend.
I can't find the inlet seal part number yet.

Just for clarity - this is the gasket that fits on the inlet side of the 90' turbo "inlet/elbow" rather than the rubber O-Ring which fits on the outlet side, between the turbo inlet/elbow and the front of the turbo.

Unfortunately nothing I can find identifies this gasket other than "Item 43" which you've highlight above and, when you an image search of Item 43's Pt No, it either points the same diagram as the OP or has an image of a rubber o-Ring and not this gasket.

The best I can come up with is the Pt No for the inlet/elbow itself which Audi calls a Pipe Union - 07L145978A (RH Turbo) - 07L145977D (LH Turbo) - but again there's no gasket with these that I can see. God I hate not knowing stuff like this!

Cheers all, it’s a nightmare can’t find them anywhere.

Mine will probably be fine but didn’t really want to chance it.

I ordered the parts listed and below is what you get, no good for anything on the turbo’s 😂
