Zimmerman Discs.. update - help needed re pad sensors
Re: Anyone used Zimmerman discs on their C6 RS6?
The rear OEM pads come with a sensor built in from the ETKA drawing, not actually fitted them myself so have no idea if thats an accurate drawing or not.

Ian and Jim - thank you.
I've ordered a full set of Zimmermans and DS2500 pads all round

Update...
Had the discs and pads fitted on the weekend (Zimmerman discs with DS2500 pads). I fitted new brake pad sensors and the light wouldn't go on the dash. I tried cutting the plug and joining the wires together but still no luck
Any ideas?

I'm not sure to be honest...
There aren't any faults or anything showing when checking with Vagcom.
If anyone knows if it needs resetting/how to do it, please share

It's not a stored code or anything like that, it's simple - as long as the pad circuits are complete the light stays out. I think it was Ian who had a problem with a break somewhere else in the loom that caused the light to stay on.

Ah! Sounds like it's going to be a pain to find out where the break is

Worst case, track the wires back to the engine firewall bulkhead and try shorting them together there, if it works then you know that the broken wire is in the wing wiring somewhere rather than in the cabin wiring between the ECU and bulkhead.

Turned out that the previous owner had joined the wires in the loom and it had obviously gone bad over time. Sorted it out and no more warning lights. Brakes done New Oil Level Sensor done
Next.. Starter motor and lowering springs.
